2 DAYS 1 NIGHT
“Doi Pha Hom Pok is located in Amphoe Fang, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. It has a height of 2,285 meters above sea level, making it the second highest mountain in Thailand. It is also the highest tent camping site in Thailand. The top of the mountain is a 360-degree viewpoint. The distance to the viewpoint is about 3.5 kilometers and is considered easy for beginner hikers.”
Trip details
Day 1
- 8:00 p.m. Depart from Big C Saphan Kwai, head to Chiang Mai Province.
Day 2
- 05:30 a.m. Arrive in Chiang Mai, stop by a gas station to wash your face and brush your teeth, then continue to Chiang Dao for breakfast at Hok Long coffee shop.
- 07:30 a.m. Depart for Doi Khun Chang. Take a pickup truck up to see the morning atmosphere in late December – January, you will see the nang phaya seua krong flowers in bloom and visit the flower gardens and tea plantations.
- 10:30 a.m. Descend from Doi Khun Chang and return to the van to travel to the point where you will change vehicles.
- 11:30 a.m. Take a pickup truck to the Doi Pha Hom Pok tent site for about 30 minutes.
- 12:00 p.m. Arrive at the tent site, help pitch tents and relax.
- 04:30 p.m. Go up to see the evening atmosphere at the Doi Pha Hom Pok viewpoint. (Those who don’t go can wait at the camp.)
- 07:00 p.m. Dinner at the camp and relax.
Day 3
- 05:00 a.m. Today we will go out to see the morning atmosphere and hopefully catch some fog at the viewpoint again. The distance of the walk is about 3.5 km.
- 09:00 a.m. Return to the camp for breakfast, then return to the tents, pack your things, clear the garbage, and take the pick-up truck down to Fang Hot Spring. The van will be waiting there.
- 09:30 a.m. Walk down to the park office, which takes about 2-3 hours.
- 10:30 a.m. Arrive at Fang Hot Spring, take a bath, and have lunch (not included in the package).
- 12:00 p.m. Load your luggage into the van and return to Bangkok. Arrive in Bangkok at approximately midnight.
