Review Hiking Phu soi Dao National Park.

Hiking Phu Soi Dao, Uttaradit Province 2 Days 1 Night

Hiking during the rainy season, this place is definitely worth it—Phu Soi Dao National Park, Uttaradit Province. The season when the ‘Murdannia gigantea’ flowers bloom is typically from August to September each year. The pale purple ‘Murdannia gigantea’ flowers on the summit of this mountain bloom beautifully across the fields, contrasted with a light fog (on the day we went, it wasn’t light fog).

Still, it’s a fantastic experience! Up here, there is Phu Soi Dao Waterfall, Thip Waterfall, and some of the most beautiful viewpoints for sunrise and sunset. The route to conquer Phu Soi Dao Pine Plateau requires us to hike 6.5 km, passing through five hills:

  • Relatives Sending Hill
  • Devil Defeating Hill
  • Goring Forest Hill
  • Tiger Hill
  • Death Hill (you will feel like dying before reaching the summit!)

🚩 To reserve a spot here, we must book a camping site through the National Parks Department website. They limit it to only 450 people per day. If you want to rent tents or camping equipment from the park, you can also book on the same website.

This is an atmosphere photo from the Phu Soi Dao Pine Plateau on August 24-25, 2024, filled with fully blooming ‘Naga Crown’ flowers.
