2 Days 1 night
Ban Pong Luek and Ban Bang Kloi are small communities inhabited by the Paka Ka Yor people and are the first villages at the headwaters of the Phetchaburi River. On this trip, we’ll go bamboo rafting to admire the scenery at the source of the Phetchaburi River, learn about the community’s way of life, camp by the river, and climb up Khao Telephone (Telephone Hill) in the morning for an amazing view.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Phetchaburi (3-4 hrs.)
07:00 AM. Board the van at PTT gas station Sanam Pao
08:30 AM. Stop for breakfast.
09:30 AM. Continue to Kaeng Krachan National Park, Phetchaburi
10:30 AM. Arrive at Kaeng Krachan National Park. Drive to Pong Luek-Bang Kloi villages by 4×4 vehicles (2 hrs.)
12:30 PM. Arrive at Pong Luek-Bang Kloi villages. Have lunch and set up camp by the river. Free time.
02:30 PM. Prepare for bamboo rafting.
05:00 PM. Return to camp
06:00 PM. Have dinner. Free time.
Day 2
05.30 AM. Wake-up call. Drive to Telephone Hill (15 min.) Hike to viewpoint (1 hrs.)
07:00 AM. Hike back
08.00 AM. Have coffee Shower. Pack up. Have breakfast at the village Get ready to travel back to Bangkok.
09:00 AM. Depart from Pong Luek Village – Bang Kloi Village by 4×4 vehicle to Kaeng Krachan National Park.
10:30 AM. Arrive at Kaeng Krachan National Park, Take a shower
11:30 AM. Visit the Kaeng Krachan Suspension Bridge
12:00 PM. Stop for lunch at a famous Phetchaburi noodle restaurant.
02:00 PM. Stop at a souvenir shop.
06:00 PM. Arrive in Bangkok.
